Itinerary

Day 1Meeting and Transfer to Dogubeyazit Town

Meet the group at one of chosen airport VAN – IGDIR – ANTALYA and transfer to the hotel in Dogubeyazit.

Day 2Dogubeyazit to Ararat Base Camp 1

Dogubeyazit – Mt Ararat (Camp I, 2,800 m)
In the morning transfer till Eli or Cevirme village by minibus. We begin our trek – today to 1. camp at 2,800m. Our trekking lasts about five hours. Our baggage will be carried by horses or mules. Dinner and overnight at camp. (Ascent = 1000 m / Descent = 0)

Day 3Acclimatisation Day

After breakfast trek to camp II (4.200 m) and return to camp I. Our trekking takes about 4 hours. Dinner and overnight in camp. (Ascent = 1000m / Descent = 1000 m)

Day 4Mt. Ararat (Camp II, 4.200 m)

After breakfast trek to camp II (4.200 m). Our trekking takes about 4 hours. Our baggages will be carried by horses or mules. Afternoon is free for preparation for next day, because we will go up to the summit. Overnight camp with all meals. (Ascent = 1000 m / Descent = 0 m)

Day 5Summit Day (5.137 m)

We start trekking early in the morning (at 2 a.m.) after breakfast. About at 4.500 m glaciers and perennial snows are present, thus the most part of the ascent is done with equipment necessary for ice climbing. After 5-7 hours we are on the Top of Mount Ararat (5.137 m). Afterwards we return to Camp 2, we have a short rest, eat and drink and pack equipment. Then we start to descent to Camp I. Overnight at camp, with all meals. (Ascent = 937 m / Descent = 1937 m)

Day 6Mt. Ararat – Dogubeyazit

Descend to Eli or Cevirme Village about 3 hours and return to Dogubeyazit . We visit Ishak Pasha Palace. Overnight at hotel in Dogubeyazit.

Day 7Dogubeyazit – Van

Transfer to Van airport and end of our expedition.

PRIVATE TRANSFERS : Your all Private transfers will be arranged according to the itinerary and you will find the confirmation and the details for your private transfer in the itinerary .

ALREADY STAYING AT A HOTEL IN OR NEAR VAN or DOGUBEYAZIT : You will be picked up from your accommodation and will also be dropped back at the end of the hiking activity.
