Is it Difficult ?

This is very difficult to answer definitively, but if you are reasonably fit, then trekking is challenging but not exhausting. Most treks are designed so that you walk a comfortable distance each day and still have enough power left for the next.

How Far do we walk Each Day ?

Anywhere from 5km to 15km depending on condition of trekking trail and the altitude of the trekking route.

What Personal Equipment do I Need ?

You will need good walking shoes/boots, comfortable walking clothes, waterproof jacket and trousers, a daypack, warm clothing in the early/late part of the year and hats etc during the summer. We supply a detailed packing list with your information pack.

When is the best of the year to walk?

The Lycian Way is nice walked anytime between April and June and then in September and October. July and August are generally too hot for walking. Spring is great, when when the flowers are blooming and the birds are singing but it is also nice at the end of September and October when it has really started to cool down.

Can I organize my own Group ?

Absolutely. Our groups option is ideal if you have a group of friends or social network that’s planning on travelling to TURKEY and are looking for an extra level of flexibility in your touring plans. Depending on your group size, we can tailor an itinerary to suit your group, with exclusive group departures. Contact our office to discuss your plans and we can customise a solution to suit your needs.

Do I have to Carry my own Luggage and Gears

No. All luggage transfers between inns are assured by us.
Only on some expedition trips (trekking and mountain biking), you might need to carry your own gear.

What are limitations of liability ?

we are not liable for bodily injury or property damage as a result of (but not limited to): physical exertion for which a guest is not prepared; forces of nature; travel by plane, train, auto, boat or other conveyance, or by bicycle, horseback, foot or other form of active or adventure travel; consumption of alcoholic beverages; civil unrest; terrorism; breakdown of equipment; high altitude; lack of or limited access to medical attention in remote locations; and the adequacy of medical attention once provided. We are also not liable for: expenses (e.g., meals, transportation or hotel costs) not specified as included in the trip cost but which may be required to get to or from a trip start or end. We reserve.

Is Trekking - Hiking for me ?

Trekking is for you and everyone who is patient and physically fit and enjoys outdoors.

What should be the criteria for physical fitness to Trek-Hike the Lycian / Carian Way

You should have a good level of physical fitness, general hiking experience, must not have any chronic or acute issues with your leg functions and must be mentally comfortable with multi-day hikes than you are ready for trekking.

Is it necessary to use guide while trekking the Lycian / Carian Way ?

We highly recommend having a guide with you. You will travel in wilderness areas and sometimes at high elevations so from the safety aspect you should not be alone. Travelling through villages will bring you across many trails and if you take a wrong turn accidently it may be difficult to communicate with locals to get back on the right path or to secure food or accommodation. They will be unlikely to speak English.

How Do I Get to the Departure Point of the Trip / How will I Get to the Airport when Trip Ends?

After you reserve your trip you will receive this detailed information. This includes starting and ending times and locations, airport and hotel van transfer locations and transportation options.
*Each trip begins and ends in or near a town accessible by plane, train or bus.

How Far in Advance Do I Need to Book ?

We suggest you book as soon as your plans are finalized. these trails are very popular and Our Professional & Licenced Guides are busy almost all year round.

What is the difference between a regular/shared and a private tour?

Regular tours are shared trips that run on a fixed schedule and the price is usually lower. Private tours do not run on a fixed schedule basis, they are organized upon request, only for you and/or your group, you will not share the car or the minibus with other travelers and the price is usually a little higher.

Terms of cancellation and cancellation refund policy.

If you want to cancel your booking please contact us either by email or phone. Please know that canceling your booking will incur a cancellation fee of 30% of the total payment if the cancellation request is done more than 10 working days prior to the departure, and 100% of your full payment if you do it less than 5 working days before the departure.
