Arrive at Dalaman Airport and transfer to the charming riverside town of Dalyan. After settling in, board a traditional wooden gulet for an afternoon cruise on the Dalyan River to the natural Sultaniye Thermal Springs (Ilıca), where mineral-rich mud baths and warm waters offer the perfect welcome to your Aegean adventure. The iconic rock-cut Lycian tombs carved into the cliffs above Dalyan provide a dramatic backdrop as you cruise back to town.

Cross the Dalyan River by ferry and begin hiking along the riverbank to the ancient Carian city of Kaunos, famous for its rock-cut tombs, Roman theatre, and Byzantine church ruins. Continue through pine-scented hills to Çandır village and on to Adabağazı, where you’ll enjoy lunch before trekking to Ormancı Bay. Cross back by boat, walk the golden sands of Iztuzu Beach (Dalyan’s famous turtle beach), visit the Caretta caretta sea turtle rehabilitation hospital, then cruise back through the labyrinthine reed channels of the Dalyan Delta.

A service vehicle transfers the group to scenic Sarsala Bay, where the Lycian Way trail begins along a wild and undeveloped coastline. Hike via Akbük Bay to the legendary Kleopatra Koyu (Cleopatra’s Bath Bay), named for its crystal-clear waters where the queen is said to have bathed. After a swimming and lunch break in this magical bay, return along the same coastal trail to Sarsala before transferring by vehicle to your accommodation in Kayaköy or Ovacık.

A short drive brings the group to Gemiler Beach, gateway to the Lycian Way’s most spectacular coastal stretches. Hike along the trail above sea-level cliffs past Darbağaz Bay to crystal-clear Karacaören Bay — nicknamed the ‘Aquarium’ for its luminous turquoise water — where lunch and a long swim await. The return route via Darbağaz Bay offers another swim stop before meeting the vehicle for transfer back to the hotel.

A short vehicle transfer deposits you at the Lycian Way trailhead above Ovacık, where the day’s most rewarding ascent begins through fragrant pine and cedar forests via Kızılağaç hamlet and the scenic ridge above Kirme, with panoramic views across the Gulf of Fethiye. The trail descends through terraced orchards and olive groves into the clifftop village of Faralya, perched dramatically above the turquoise waters of Butterfly Valley (Kelebekler Vadisi). Tonight’s accommodation in Faralya is among the most scenically situated on the entire tour.

Set out directly from your accommodation along the inland mountain trail toward the remote village of Kabak, continuing on the Alınca trail to the valley junction above Kabak Beach. The steep descent into the valley leads to a hidden waterfall tucked among wild fig trees and oleander — a magical lunch and swimming spot far from the crowds. Continue down through the valley to Kabak Beach itself, one of Turkey’s most unspoiled coves, before the service vehicle returns you to the comfort of Faralya for a second night.

After breakfast, the service vehicle drops the group at Kabak Beach for the day’s final coastal hike — a spectacular trail following cliff-top paths above sea-caves and hidden inlets to the paradise-like bay of Cennet (meaning ‘Heaven’ in Turkish), a secluded cove accessible only by foot or boat. A pre-arranged service boat collects the group from Cennet Bay and transfers everyone back to Kabak, where a vehicle whisks you east along the coast to the ancient Lycian city and sweeping beach of Patara. Patara rewards trekkers with a well-deserved rest day. The archaeologically rich site of ancient Patara — once the capital and principal harbour of the Lycian League and the birthplace of Saint Nicholas (Santa Claus) — offers a fascinating morning’s exploration among its monumental arch, parliament building, theatre, and lighthouse. Alternatively, spend the entire day on Patara’s 18 km beach, the longest sandy beach in Turkey and one of the most important nesting sites for Caretta caretta sea turtles on the Mediterranean — a fitting symmetry with Day 2’s turtle encounter at Iztuzu.
