This iconic Lycian Way stage climbs from the resort village of Ovacık to the exposed Babadağ ridge at 1,250 metres — delivering a paraglider’s-eye panorama over the world-famous Blue Lagoon far below — before traversing the cliff-top and descending through fragrant pine forest into the canyon-edge settlement of Faralya. It is the most demanding day of the tour but also the most visually arresting, with sea, mountain, and sky combining in a single sweeping view at the ridgeline.

A short but steep descent from Faralya follows a seasonal waterfall through oleander groves and polished limestone gullies to the pristine, car-free beach of Kabak Valley — one of the most secluded coves on the entire Turkish coast. Accessible only on foot or by boat, Kabak is a world apart: a wide pebble beach where a freshwater stream meets the sea, with a handful of low-impact eco-camps nestled in the trees behind the shore.

The most varied day of the itinerary climbs from Kabak’s sea-level pebbles through the remote hamlet of Alınca, traverses a broad pastoral ridge above the Esen River valley, and descends into Gey — a traditional Lycian farming village that has barely changed in appearance for a century. Ancient mule tracks, carved rock tombs glimpsed through the macchia, and the sudden appearance of pine-scented highland air make this the day that feels most deeply embedded in Lycian history.

The final trekking day traces the Lycian Way inland through the hill villages of Bel and Gavurağılı before descending to the Karadere valley, where a pre-arranged minibus connects the group to the legendary beach and ancient city of Patara — the birthplace of St. Nicholas and once the greatest port city in all of Lycia. The contrast between the day’s remote pine-forested traverse and the arrival at Patara’s vast, dune-backed shore is cinematic.
Day 6: Leisure Day at Patara — Beach, Ruins & Sand Dunes
Full rest day at Patara. Morning guided visit to Patara Ancient City ruins (Lycian League Bouleuterion, Roman arch, theatre, lighthouse). Afternoon free on Turkey’s longest protected beach — 18 km of dunes and clear water. Optional turtle-watching, kayaking, or excursion to Kalkan.
Day 7: Departure — Transfer to Dalaman Airport
Leisurely final morning at Patara, then private transfer to Dalaman Airport (DLM). Approx. 1 hr 45 min drive. Allow 3 hours from hotel for international departures.
