6-Day Lycian Way Mid-Section Trek: Kaş to Myra Guided Hiking Tour

Day 2: Kaş to Limanağzı — Ufakdere — Üzüm İskelesi  ·  14 km

Leaving Kaş on the eastward Lycian Way, this coastal stage follows waymarked paths above a succession of turquoise bays before reaching the sheltered anchorage of Limanağzı, continuing through the small valley of Ufakdere, and arriving at the remote inlet of Üzüm İskelesi — a peaceful cove whose name recalls the grape-laden jetty that once served the surrounding hillside vineyards. The route alternates between open limestone headlands with panoramic Aegean views and shaded valley sections, making it one of the most visually varied day hikes on the Kaş peninsula.

Day 3: Sahil Kılınçlı to Üçağız via Aperlai & Apollonia Ruins  ·  16 km

A short morning transfer from Kaş repositions the group at the Sahil Kılınçlı trailhead, where the Lycian Way continues east along the coast through the partially submerged ancient city of Aperlai — a Lycian maritime settlement whose harbour walls, towers, and stairways extend into the clear sea — before climbing to the hilltop ruins of Apollonia and descending to the fishing village of Üçağız on the Kekova lagoon. Three distinct ancient cities and one of the most archaeologically concentrated trail sections in the entire Mediterranean make this the most historically rich hiking day of the tour.

Day 4: Leisure Day at Üçağız — Kekova Boat Cruise & Kaleköy (Simena)

The Kekova lagoon is one of the most historically layered and visually extraordinary places in Turkey, and a full day on the water here is the natural counterpoint to yesterday’s demanding trail stage. A pre-arranged private boat departs Üçağız harbour in the morning for a guided cruise that encompasses the three interlocking elements of this unique landscape: the submerged city of Kekova Island, the castle village of Kaleköy (ancient Simena), and the bays of the protected lagoon.

Day 5: Kapaklı to Andriake (Demre) — Myra & St. Nicholas Church  ·  14 km

A short morning transfer from Üçağız brings the group to the Kapaklı trailhead, from where the Lycian Way follows a coastal and inland route northeast to the ancient harbour of Andriake — the maritime gateway of the great Lycian city of Myra. After completing the hike, a vehicle meets the group at Andriake harbour for afternoon visits to two of the most significant historical sites on the entire Lycian coast: the extraordinary cliff-face rock tombs of Myra and the Church of St. Nicholas in Demre town, the documented burial place of the historical figure who became the model for Santa Claus across European tradition.

Day 6: Departure — Transfer to Dalaman Airport

A final morning in Kaş before the transfer west to Dalaman Airport. Kaş rewards an unhurried breakfast on a rooftop terrace or at a waterfront café: the early light on Meis Island, the smell of jasmine from the garden walls, and the harbour already moving with fishing boats and the first gulets preparing for day trips. The Lycian rock tomb on the hillside above town is best photographed in the morning sun, and the short walk to the Roman theatre takes only ten minutes if there is time before departure.
