DAY 1: Arrival & Transfer | Dalaman Airport → Fethiye
Arrival day. Private transfer from Dalaman Airport to Ölüdeniz hotel (~45 km, ~45 min). Afternoon free. Welcome dinner and full trail briefing with licensed guide.
Day 2: Ovacık to Faralya via Babadağ Ridge · 14 km
Duration | 6–7 hrs | Distance | 14 km |
Difficulty | Moderate–Challenging | Altitude | 50–860 m |
Season | April–June · September–November | Start | Ovacık Village |
Finish | Faralya | Accommodation | Faralya |
This iconic Lycian Way stage climbs from the resort village of Ovacık to the exposed Babadağ ridge at 1,250 metres — delivering a paraglider’s-eye panorama over the world-famous Blue Lagoon far below — before traversing the cliff-top and descending through fragrant pine forest into the canyon-edge settlement of Faralya. It is the most demanding day of the tour but also the most visually arresting, with sea, mountain, and sky combining in a single sweeping view at the ridgeline.
Day 3: Faralya to Kabak via Waterfall Trail · 14 km
Duration | 5-6 hrs | Distance | 14 km |
Difficulty | Moderate–Challenging | Altitude | 0–520 m |
Season | April–June · September–November | Start | Faralya Village |
Finish | Kabak Valley | Accommodation | Beach camp / eco-pension, Kabak Valley |
A short but steep descent from Faralya follows a seasonal waterfall through oleander groves and polished limestone gullies to the pristine, car-free beach of Kabak Valley — one of the most secluded coves on the entire Turkish coast. Accessible only on foot or by boat, Kabak is a world apart: a wide pebble beach where a freshwater stream meets the sea, with a handful of low-impact eco-camps nestled in the trees behind the shore.
Day 4: Kabak to Alınca to Gey — Transfer to Patara · 16 km
Duration | 6–7 hrs hiking + 50 min transfer | Distance | 16 km |
Difficulty | Moderate–Challenging | Altitude | 0–780 m |
Season | April–June · September–November | Start | Kabak Valley |
Finish | Patara (Gelemis village, via transfer from Gey area) | Accommodation | Handpicked hotel / pension, Patara (Gelemis) |
The route climbs from Kabak’s sea-level beach through the remote hamlet of Alınca, crosses a broad inland plateau, and descends into Gey (also called Bel on some maps) — a traditional Lycian farming village — before a pre-arranged minibus transfer delivers the group to Patara for the night. This is the longest walking day of the tour, with a 780-metre climb out of Kabak followed by rolling highland terrain. Ancient Lycian rock-cut tombs appear along the route as the trail moves deeper into the rural interior.
Day 5: Leisure Day at Patara — Beach, Ruins & Sand Dunes
Rest day at Patara. Morning: guided visit to Patara Ancient City (ruins open at sunrise). Afternoon: free time on Turkey’s longest protected beach (18 km, dune-backed, car-free). Optional evening: estuary boat trip or excursion to Kalkan harbour.
Day 6: Patara (Gelemis) to Kalkan — Transfer to Kaş · 13 km
Duration | 5–6 hrs | Distance | 13 km |
Difficulty | Moderate | Altitude | 0–400 m |
Season | April–June · September–November | Start | Patara (Gelemis) |
Finish | Kalkan (transfer point to Kaş) | Accommodation | Handpicked boutique hotel, Kaş |
The final hiking stage follows the Lycian Way east from the dune margins of Patara across rolling macchia-covered headlands and through scattered olive groves before descending into the whitewashed hillside resort of Kalkan, one of the most elegant small towns on the Turkish Riviera. A pre-arranged transfer then covers the final 30 kilometres to Kaş — the itinerary’s finishing point — a characterful harbour town with a Lycian rock tomb visible from the main square and excellent restaurants along the waterfront.
Day 7: Kaş — Town Exploration and Transfer to Dalaman Airport
Final morning exploring Kaş old town on foot (Doric temple, Lycian sarcophagi, harbour amphitheatre). Private transfer to Dalaman Airport (~185 km, ~3 hrs driving). Allow minimum 3.5 hours from hotel departure to international check-in close.
