Hiking Ovacik to Faralya – Lycian Way Departure Stage

Hiking the Lycian Way from Ovacik village to Faralya village is an unforgettable experience, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty, history, and adventure. The trail is challenging, but with the right preparation and a sense of adventure, it is an achievable and rewarding trek for anyone who loves hiking and exploring new places.

The trek starts in Ovacik, a small village located just a few kilometers from the popular resort town of Oludeniz offers challenging yet rewarding trekking experience.

As you climb higher, the views of the Mediterranean coastline become more and more breathtaking, with the turquoise waters contrasting against the rocky coastline.

1 Day Lycian Way Kabak Hike  Distance : 14 km

Your guide will meet you at your accommodation in Oludeniz/Ovacik at around 8 am, and you will begin your hike towards Faralya on the Lycian Way trail.

• The first section of the trail takes you through pine forests and offers stunning views of the Mediterranean coastline.
• Along the way, your guide will point out various points of interest, including ancient ruins and endemic plants.
• After a few hours of hiking, you will arrive at Kozagac Hamlet. Take a break, enjoy the views, and have some snacks or drinks
• Upon reaching Kozagac, take a break and have lunch.
• After lunch, continue hiking towards Kirme, which is about a 1,5-2-hour hike from Kozagac.
• Kirme is a small village located on a hillside overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, offering breathtaking views.

• From kirme to faralya enjoy the stunning views of the Mediterranean coastline and the surrounding pine forests.

Upon reaching Faralya,  Take some time to explore the village and its surroundings, including the stunning Butterfly Valley.

• Meet the transfer car and drive back to the hotel. We will have a short photo break at a place overlooking to the World famous Butterfly Valley.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

Travel:  Recommended arrival and departure airport is : DALAMAN (There are winter flights available via Istanbul). Alternatively Transfers ANTALYA airports is also available to a minimum extra cost. 

Extra Arrival and Departure Dates:

• Please plan to arrive one day before the trek begins and depart one day after the trek ends.

Luggage transfers & logistics : Luggage transfer on hiking (Walking) days is included and your baggages will transferred from departure point to the finish

Meal Arrangements:

• Breakfast and dinner will be provided at accommodations.
• Lunch will be picnic or takeaway food with fruits during the trekking days.

This itinerary is subject to change based on weather conditions and group preferences.

1 – Meeting points : DALAMAN Airport & FETHIYE Bus Station ( Alternatives : ANTALYA or IZMIR Airports )

2 – The itinerary is changeable and modifiable as per need and time frame of the party. Program may change according to weather and road conditions. Cost will be re-calculated  if the itinerary is changed or modified. Additional activities may be added as per party members request with appropriate additional cost. The cost may also be affected due to the requirement of number of guide and auxiliary guide.
